About Me
Raheen Veterinary Practice is run by me, Evi Stabler. It’s based in the Ox mountains, not far from Coolaney. I’m a Veterinary surgeon in mixed practice since 1993. Working in Co.Sligo since 1998.
In 2014 I finished a veterinary acupuncture course with IVAS in Brussels. And since then I’m practising acupuncture in both small and large animals beside my ‘normal’ veterinary work.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture is part of traditional Chinese medicine and has been successfully used since 2000 plus years on both humans and animals. Since the 70′ it started to gain ground in the western world. And recently, the last 30 to 40 years, its being more widely used in the veterinary world as well. It complements western medicine well and, in some cases, can offer help, where other treatments are not available, or not successful. Acupuncture is mostly known for its use in pain management, but it can be useful for most conditions, often in conjunction with other treatments.

What area do you cover?
We cover most of South & North Sligo and parts of West Leitrim including Coolaney, Collooney, Ballasodare, Beltra, Skreen, Riverstown, Ballymote, Strandhill, Ransboro, Carraroe, Rathcormack, Drumcliff, Lissadell
Do you do home visits?
Yes I do home visits when it is possible to accommodate it within my daily schedule. I try to cover emergencies where possible. If an animal is very sick and requires treatment it is usually preferable to get them to come to me in the practice. I am limited in what I can do in your home. Please contact me by telephone on 086 8302705 if you would like a home visit for your pet.
Do you offer a service for farm animals?
Yes I operate a mixed vetinary practice

Acupuncture is of benefit to all animals,from farm animals to domestic pets.
